wispcat 15 September 2009
In the fortnight that I have been away the G has faded to a skinny little wisp of a cat. She is nibbling at food and drinking some water and is bright eyed and complainy so there’s clearly nothing ‘wrong’ with her EXCEPT that she is getting totally doddery and old – shaky on the pins and fading away. I am beginning to wonder if we’ll get till the end of the year out of her (hope so, obviously!!)
Jittery, jumpy day today and a bit wrecked tired too (fell asleep on the plane and probably dribbled a bit while I was at it) – Himself is much the same, so it seems our blow out weekend is catching up with us – again I feel it a dose of the Seniors following us around, as well as the G…EEEK! I even resorted to a hot chocolate by way of comfort – again, it felt an elderly moment…though yummy so feck off the elderlies.
I am happy to report that the cat has clung on to the chair – the Mammy says it was no contest, really, and that the G was the clear winner from Day 1.
It’s the more modern and totally ugly wall at the back of the garden that has collapsed so I could care less about it as I really did hate it (and most of what was growing against it too). Top opportunity to change everything back there now – though where I will get the time for that is beyond me (and I will want to do it myself for that extra sense of satisfaction and achievement)
Must write like a thing/writer POSSESSED tomorrow to make up for general ennui in that department of late. Crikey, it never (bleedin’) ends….
