Saw Jools Holland’s show just now and was so reminded of how something follows you around forever (whether you like it or not). Cyndi Lauper was on plugging a Blues album she’s recorded (I’m not MADLY into the Blues and will feel the brunt of many of your jibes for admitting as much) and of course (?) under HUGE sufferance, and you could just see she didn’t want it to happen, they showed a clip of her singing GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN from ages ago on some pop show – it was a Mrs Doyle moment, though I think she enjoyed it far FAR less from hers than i do from mine…
